REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 24 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/
-- Comergent(R) Technologies, Inc. today announced that Dave Burlington has
been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president of
product development. Burlington joins Comergent from WarrantyNow, Inc., an
enabler of e-commerce financial service products, where he served as president
since March 2000. Comergent is the leading provider of sell-side B2B
e-commerce software solutions that enable enterprises to sell their products

At WarrantyNow, Burlington was responsible for all day-to-day operations,
including overall business plan development, directing and managing product
development, and identifying and executing strategic relationships. Prior
to joining WarrantyNow, Burlington held a senior executive position at
PeopleSoft, where he was Vice President and General Manager, handling
product direction, software development, product marketing, sales, and
customer success programs for the Enterprise Performance Management product
line. Prior to PeopleSoft, Burlington held senior positions at the Gap and
Andersen Consulting. Burlington holds a bachelor's degree in electrical
engineering and computer science from Santa Clara University,
 Santa Clara, California.
"Dave has an impressive track record for building and managing product
development teams that deliver truly customer-centric products and
services," said Jean Kovacs, president and CEO of Comergent. "We are
thrilled to have Dave join Comergent at this exciting stage of our growth,
and believe that his skills and experience will help us achieve our next
level of business and engineering accomplishments."
"Sell-side collaboration is one of the most critical components of
e-commerce, and Comergent has the vision, resources and team that will
continue to lead this growing market," said Burlington. "I look forward
