Como Zoo's Lions to Celebrate Spring!

ST. PAUL, Minn., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Along with the rest of the Twin Cities' community, the lions at Como Zoo are eager for spring. On Friday, April 20th at 10:15 a.m. the lions will enter their outdoor exhibit for the first time this year. We predict that the lions will be extremely lively and playful as they enter the exhibit, which will be filled with a variety of spring surprises, including springtime toys, treats and flowers. The lions have been housed in their indoor exhibit in Como Zoo's Cat House since October of 2000. WHAT: Como Zoo's lions to enter their outdoor exhibit, filled with spring surprises, for the first time of the year. WHEN: Friday, April 20th -- 10:15 a.m. WHERE: Como Zoo's outdoor Lion Exhibit DIRECTIONS: Park in Como Zoo's Wolf Parking Lot (located just off Midway Pkwy), and enter the Zoo's grounds. The Cat House is directly to your left, and the outdoor lion exhibit is on the north side of that building. For over 100 years, Como Zoo has entertained and educated visitors of all ages. Como Park is one of the top year-round attractions in the Twin Cities, drawing approximately 1.7 million people annually. Beginning in 1897 with a small herd of deer, Como Zoo today boasts over 340 animals of over 100 species.
