FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Compuware Corporation
(Nasdaq: CPWR) today announced the release of QAHiperstation 7.0. The new

 business deployments.

QAHiperstation, part of Compuware's QACenter family of integrated testing
products, provides a complete solution for focused testing of S/390 business
logic. QAHiperstation 7.0 now includes native support for S/390 applications
accessed from a web browser. This new release also reveals the TCP/IP and
APPC messages that drive the S/390 business logic in multi-tier applications.
APPC and HTTP messages can then be replayed, compared and used to complete
thorough and focused S/390 testing, independent of the availability of front-
 end tiers.
"By enabling Hiperstation for the IBM WebSphere software platform for e-
business, Compuware can help businesses test application business logic in an
automated and cost effective manner," said Paraic Sweeney, Vice President,
Business Transformation, IBM Software Group. "Leveraging the WebSphere
software platform will enable Compuware to help customers be more competitive
 in today's e-business market."
IT organizations depend on the power, scalability and reliability of the
S/390 to deliver critical software solutions. Today, these organizations are
extending that legacy by using S/390 applications to help meet new business
requirements for applications accessible from the Internet. The high
visibility of these new applications and their potential impact to existing
critical systems dictate that the applications must be thoroughly tested.
"Enterprise, web and e-business applications on the S/390 are, by design,
robust in functionality, targeted for large numbers of users and require
constant updating," said Gail Ruby, Director, Product Management, Compuware.
"Deploying these applications with confidence requires an automated testing
tool to verify functionality and performance every time. QAHiperstation
provides a simple and powerful tool for automating system, regression and
 performance testing."
