Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones Announces 3rd Annual Youth Conference 'The Biz of Showbiz'

    HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Congresswoman Stephanie
 Tubbs Jones will be hosting her 3rd Annual Youth Conference "The Biz of
 Showbiz", to take place April 7, 2001 at Tri-C Eastern Campus, Building 3,
 4250 Richmond Road from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.  This event is open to all area
 high school students.  You must RSVP to attend.
     The aim of this conference is to give students a well-rounded look at
 careers in the arts and entertainment industries.  The five main thrusts of
 the conference will include: Drama/Dance, Music, Creative Expression, Visual
 Arts and Business.  Presenters will include representatives from the Rock and
 Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Radio One, The Cleveland Playhouse, Elektra
 Records, Karamu House and Shaker International Group as well as poets,
 screenwriters, choreographers, artists, animators and musicians from the
 Northeast Ohio area.
     "We are extremely excited about this year's youth conference," said Rep.
 Tubbs Jones.  "We hope to provide our students with valuable resources and
 information to foster their interest in the arts."
