Apr 23, 2001, 01:00 ET from Aerocast, Inc.

LAS VEGAS, April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- Today,
Aerocast, Inc. a next-generation secure streaming media services company
backed by Liberty Satellite L.L.C., Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Soros, announced
it will deliver select CourtTV content in its home consumer trials. The
Aerocast service provides full-screen, entertainment-quality programming to
broadband Internet subscribers. Aerocast's agreement with CourtTV is the
latest in a series of recently announced content deals designed to showcase
Aerocast's breakthrough streaming media service, which will pave the way for
content providers and broadband operators to securely stream high-quality
video over the Internet to home PCs.
San Diego, California-based Aerocast is pioneering the secure delivery of
ultra-fast, full-screen entertainment-quality streaming video on demand to
home viewers at a fraction of current market pricing. As part of Aerocast's
consumer demonstration, select residential customers with high-speed cable
access will be able to watch the popular CourtTV programs "Riker's Island:
Tales from Jail," and "The Death Penalty Show II." These CourtTV programs
will be available during the Aerocast trials 24x7, and without the static,
interruption and deadening slow speeds associated with most Internet video.
"CourtTV seeks opportunities to test out new technologies. We were happy
to offer some of our content to Aerocast for streaming in their consumer
trials," said Galen Jones, general manager of CourtTV Online. "We are looking
forward to evaluating the results and talking to Aerocast about possible next
 steps."
"Aerocast is pleased to have yet another high caliber content provider
join our cadre of content partners," said Dario Santana, president of
Aerocast. "CourtTV, the nation's leading American Justice cable network,
reaches over 55 million viewers. We are proud to have such a respected and
popular content provider participate in the Aerocast streaming media service
 during our trials."

     Aerocast Approach
Aerocast will deliver its secure streaming media services in partnership
with content providers and broadband operators. Aerocast Video Exchanges
(AVX), the company's unique media servers, are placed on the outer edge of the
broadband network. The servers' edge placement, combined with Aerocast's
intelligent routing system, allows consumers to receive high-resolution video
at rates up to 1.5 Mbps over the Internet with virtually none of the packet
loss typical of other streaming media. By reducing access traffic from the
data center to the broadband operator last mile edge, the Aerocast service
enables the most cost-effective delivery of new media to reach the mass
 market.
