Crown City News to Air 5 Episodes of Sugar Addicts TV Show in March
Hosted by Marsha Allen, who is also known as the Sugar Witch, the show provides delicious alternatives to sugar and other unhealthy ingredients in commonly eaten foods
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Sugar Addicts, a new half-hour cooking program featuring St. Petersburg resident Marsha Allen, will air for five consecutive Fridays in March on the new Los Angeles-based Crown City News TV network. The episodes can be watched on KVMD-TV, Channel 31, in the greater Los Angeles area, Friday mornings at 11 a.m. in March as well as streamed on the network's website.
In each of the episodes Marsha Allen, along with a guest, will cook a healthier version of a beloved food—chocolate cheesecake, chicken stir fry, sweet and sour meatballs, blueberry muffins and Hamburger Helper.
One in three people in North America have Type 2 diabetes or are pre-diabetic. Allen says, "We are targeting people who are addicted to sugar, which can lead to diabetes. Sugar is more addictive than cocaine yet it is legal and accessible."
