Datamarine International, Inc. Signs Letter of Intent to Acquire Eight 220 MHz Systems From SMR Advisory Group

    MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash., April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- David Thompson,
 President, Datamarine International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:   DMAR) announced
 today that the Company had agreed to acquire eight 220MHz 5 channel Phase One
 systems in Washington State and Oregon from SMR Advisory Group LC, a Texas
 limited liability company.
     The 8 systems including the licenses will be acquired, subject to due
 diligence, compliance with applicable FCC, federal and state securities laws
 and the approval of the owners of each of the systems, for approximately
 1,000,000 shares of Datamarine common stock, valued at $1.00 per share, plus
 warrants which have variable terms regarding price and quantity relating the
 exercise date to the date of issuance of the warrants.  Included in the price
 of the systems are all of the associated base station equipment and the
 present subscribers.
     Mr. Thompson stated that this further acquisition of 220 MHz spectrum is a
 reflection of the Company's growing confidence in the very substantial market
 for low cost voice and data dispatch service.
