DCHFA to Hold 2nd Anniversary Housing Expo to Unveil New Rates and Programs; 50 Exhibitors, Mayor Williams and Council Members to Attend

    WASHINGTON, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by the
 District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency:
 
     What: The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency will celebrate the
 2nd Anniversary of the Agency's very successful Home Resource Center, a
 complete one-stop source of information on homebuying in The District. Over 50
 housing exhibitors will participate. $24,000,000 in mortgage money is
 available, starting at 3.75%.
 
     Who: Mayor Williams, Council Members Orange, Ambrose, Chavous and Graham,
 Milton Bailey, Director of DHCD and former Director of DCHFA and other
 government officials are expected.
 
     Where: DCHFA, 815 Florida Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20001.
 
     When: Saturday, April 14, 2001 from 10 am to 2 pm.
 
     The day will open with an Army Color Guard performance and an Invocation
 from Rev. Frank Tucker. Gwen Adams, Director of the Home Resource Center will
 make welcoming remarks. Various council members will make short remarks,
 Executive Director Zoreana Barnes will speak and Mayor Williams will be
 speaking on live radio WOL. The list of over 50 exhibitors includes local
 lenders, real estate agents, housing counseling agencies and non-profit
 housing groups. In addition, Remember The Times clown group will be setting up
 a children's pavilion with a moon bounce and face painting, The Metro
 Cardiovascular Center will be conducting various health screenings, Hollywood
 Lip Ink, Oneness Mobility and Diverse Cyber Solutions are just a few of the
 many interesting participants.
