ATLANTA, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Shuttle today donated more than
$4700 in cash and in-kind support to benefit the City Parks Foundation's
Junior Golf Program. Coinciding with the first three-day, Buick Classic/Golf
Digest Expo, Delta Shuttle presented the $1500 cash donation and five round-
trip tickets to Mike Silverman, Director of Golf and Tennis for the City Parks
 Foundation.
"Delta Shuttle has partnered with the City Parks Foundation for four
years," said Helen O'Dell, general manager of marketing for Delta Shuttle.
"We are pleased to support their new effort as well to make the sport of golf
more accessible to urban youth in our own backyard -- New York City."
Launched last year, the Junior Golf Program is a nonprofit program of the
City Parks Foundation and the City of New York/Parks & Recreation that makes
the sport of golf more accessible for urban youth in New York City by
utilizing baseball fields and public courses for beginner introduction. Delta
Shuttle joins Chase, the Metropolitan PGA, and United States Golf Association
 in sponsoring this effort.
Delta Shuttle offers nonstop, hourly departures between New York LaGuardia
and Boston Logan International or Washington Reagan National Airport. Delta
Shuttle also offers nine nonstop, round-trip flights between Boston and
 Washington each business day.
At Delta Shuttle, a seat is guaranteed. The customer should be ticketed
and at the gate at least three minutes before scheduled departure, if the
aircraft is full, Delta Shuttle will operate another flight within 15 minutes
(pending ATC and weather) or award the passenger a free Delta Shuttle ticket.
Delta Shuttle also offers customers enhanced comfort and reliability with a
brand new fleet of 16 Boeing 737-800 jets. Featuring all-leather seats, with
an industry-leading 36 inches of legroom and six inches of recline, the jets
are 90 percent quieter than the Delta Shuttle's former fleet of aircraft and
offer 40 percent more overhead bin space.
