DIANON Systems Expands Agreement with Aetna U.S. Healthcare in Ohio

 DIANON Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:   DIAN) (http://www.dianon.com), a leading
 national provider of cancer and genomic diagnostic services, today announced
 that it has expanded its relationship with Aetna U.S. Healthcare for anatomic
 pathology and other testing services.  Beginning April 1, 2001, DIANON will
 provide testing services for Aetna U.S. Healthcare's HMO-based plans in Ohio.
 In addition, DIANON will continue as a participating provider for laboratory
 testing services for all other Aetna U.S. Healthcare's products in Ohio.
