Apr 12, 2001, 01:00 ET from Donnelly Corporation

HOLLAND, Mich., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Donnelly Corporation (NYSE: DON)
announced today that there will be a live audio webcast of the company's
financial results conference call on April 24, 2001, at 10 a.m. EDT. The call
will follow the release of Donnelly's first quarter financial results to the
public, and can be accessed at www.donnelly.com by clicking on the "Investors"
 button.
Dwane Baumgardner, chief executive officer, Kevin L. Brown, senior vice
president and chief financial officer, Scott Reed, group president of
Donnelly's Electronic Systems group, and John Adams, director of Investor
 Relations, will conduct the call.
"The industry has suffered from lower new vehicle production and sporadic
plant shutdowns," said Brown. "In addition, Donnelly is incurring higher than
expected costs for new product launches and the integration of a recent
acquisition. The combination of these factors have affected earnings, which
should remain positive, but will be below general market expectations."
Details will be outlined during the webcast.

driven, customer-focused, growth-oriented supplier to every major automotive
manufacturer in the world. The Company has been based in Holland, Michigan
since 1905, and today has approximately 6,400 employees in 14 countries
worldwide. Donnelly has been named by the Society of Automotive Engineers as
a model company in lean manufacturing practices, and was recognized by

 electronic and interior systems.
In addition, Donnelly is nationally recognized as a leader in the
application of participative management principles and systems. More
