investment community professionals, announces Strategic Research Institute.
Presenting companies are Epic Therapeutics, Lipocine, Imarx, Batelle
Pulmonary Therapeutics, Xavos Corporation, Zycos, Vectura, Eli Lilly,
BioDelivery Sciences, Shearwater Corporation, CyDex, Nastech Pharmaceutical
Company, Enzon, Altus Biologics, Cellgate, Endocyte, Inhale Therapeutic

The 2001 conference will focus on a variety of novel technologies
including liposomal formulations, protein delivery technologies, technologies
to improve solubility and absorption, macromolecule delivery via oral,
injectable, and pulmonary routes of administration, microspheres,
nanoparticles, nasal administration, PEGylated technologies, cochleates,
encapsulated plasmid DNA formulation, intraneuronal biodelivery,
 folate-mediated drug delivery, among others.
Big Pharma panels on deal-making between Pharma and the drug delivery
industry and another focusing on future trends and needs in the industry will
round out the plenary portion of the program.
A much heralded pre-conference workshop on valuing drug delivery
technology and deal negotiations will be led on July 25th by Paul Horan and
Sue Slezak of QED Technologies. The workshop is very valuable in that it both
offers a practical didactic element on valuation based on the workshop
leaders' considerable experience, which is followed by hands-on negotiation
 simulation.
