New London Office Major Milestone for International Expansion Strategy

Apr 12, 2001, 01:00 ET from ISOPIA Inc.

TORONTO, Canada,, April 12 /PRNewswire/ - ISOPIA Inc., the leading
provider of Java-based learning management systems, today announced its
aggressive expansion into the European e-Learning market with the opening of a
new office in London. Complementing ISOPIA's overall strategy for achieving
global market penetration, the inauguration of the European office is an
important step for promoting ISOPIA's international initiatives in acquiring
new channel partners and clients, while representing ongoing support for
 ISOPIA's existing network of contacts.
"Our London presence will allow ISOPIA to capitalize on the growth
potential of e-Learning in the European market," says Kim Rogers, Business
Manager of ISOPIA's European Operations. "ISOPIA is working to ensure we can
service the needs of our growing customer base in the European region."
e-Learning is poised for sharp growth in Europe. According to a February
2001 report by IDC, the worldwide corporate e-Learning market is expected to
reach US$23 billion by 2004. IDC predicts that Western Europe will experience
the fastest growth rate at 96% annually, representing a US$4 billion market by
2004. The London office will serve as an initial base for ISOPIA to serve its
affiliates across Europe, which has high adoption levels of Internet-enabled
 learning.
"Europeans have very quickly grasped the potential for e-Learning, as an
essential tool for business development, knowledge delivery, and continuing
education," observes Aditya Jha, ISOPIA's Vice President of Marketing and
Sales. "There is a tremendous market here for ISOPIA, and for those
enterprises that are engaging new learning models for training their
employees, suppliers, clients, and partners. ISOPIA is committed to building
customer relationships and forging channel partnerships throughout the
continent. Our office in London will be critical to this strategy of
 establishing key alliances."
With partners like Italy-based e-business consultants Altoprofilo,
marquee clients such as Switzerland's prestigious Landegg International
University, and with multilingual capabilities embedded in its learning
management software, ISOPIA is well-positioned to take advantage of e-Learning
 market opportunities in Europe.
"As a company, ISOPIA has the chance to catalyze e-Learning in the
European community with its sophisticated Java-based solutions," continues
Jha. "Developing European relations is a priority for ISOPIA in the coming
year, since e-Learning is increasingly recognized as a strategic imperative in
corporate training. Because of the region's high adoption rate for wireless
devices and its advanced network infrastructure, ISOPIA's mobile learning
solution appears to be another viable offering for the European marketplace."
Officially opening in early summer, the new office will promote ISOPIA's
premier software application, ILMS(TM) and ASP service, LearnTone(TM). The
staff will comprise of account executives, systems engineers, and business
development personnel, in addition to a project management team. As the e-
Learning market matures, ISOPIA plans to open more branch operations in
 various European locations.
