E-Ticket Receipts Now Available Through Sabre Virtually There Web Site

Apr 23, 2001, 01:00 ET from Sabre Holdings Corporation

FORT WORTH, Texas, April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- Sabre
Holdings Corporation (NYSE: TSG) today announced the availability of e-ticket
receipts for ticketless travelers through the Sabre(R) Virtually There(TM) Web
site (www.virtuallythere.com). These receipts reflect travel on any
Sabre-e-ticket connected airline. There are more than 30 airlines, including
most major carriers, who offer ticketless travel through the Sabre system.
When printed out, the e-ticket receipt provides a proof of ticket purchase
in case of last minute airline changes with the convenience of ticketless
travel. It can be useful for business travelers when they submit expense
reports and, as more airlines begin to charge for paper tickets, travelers
save money by using this exclusive Virtually There no-cost feature. Virtually
There is available when travelers book through Sabre Connected(SM) travel
 consultants and participating airlines.
"E-ticket receipt is a feature significant numbers of travelers and travel
agents have been requesting," said Nancy Raynor, senior vice president and
general manager for Virtually There. "Not only does it save agents time and
money, but most importantly, it enriches the travel experience and adds
convenience for both agents and travelers."
The feature is an entirely automated process, so travel consultants do not
have to mail or courier passenger receipts. Another plus for Sabre's agency
partners is the co-branding on the receipt with the travel agency's logo and
 marketing messages.
In addition to being available through Sabre travel agents worldwide,
e-ticket receipts are available to customers of Virtually There airline
partners Hawaiian Airlines, National Airlines and US Airways.
A separate link on the e-ticket receipt highlights important information
found on paper tickets, such as notices concerning advice to international
passengers, the carrying of dangerous goods and baggage liability limitations.
