Apr 30, 2001, 01:00 ET from Eagle Broadband, Inc.

LEAGUE CITY, Texas, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle Broadband (Amex: EAG)
announced today that its subsidiary, etoolz, Inc., has relocated its operation
from San Antonio, Texas, to Eagle's corporate headquarters in League City,
Texas. Eagle indicated that this relocation and restructuring of etoolz is
for the purpose of providing a corporate-wide R&D group that can provide
additional development support to all of the Eagle companies beyond the level
of design and development already present within each of these organizations.
In particular, a large amount of the etoolz initial activities are anticipated
to be directed at the combining of the ClearWorks, BroadbandMagic, and Link-
Two technologies into new integrated packages of broadband products and
 services.
Dr. Cubley, President and CEO of Eagle Broadband, also announced that Jon
Hayden, formerly Director of Research and Development for Eagle Wireless
International, has been named President and CEO of etoolz, Inc., effective
immediately. "Mr. Hayden has extensive experience in a wide range of R&D
disciplines as well as having demonstrated the ability to manage complex
technical projects. Once the need for an approved technical development has
been identified by Eagle Broadband or its subsidiary. then etoolz will be
available to act as an in-house R&D support company."
According to Dr. Cubley, "etoolz and Eagle's existing R&D department had
overlapping responsibilities and projects in a number of areas. By combining
the efforts of both groups, Eagle Broadband will be able to take advantage of
those increased efficiencies. We also believe etoolz will be in a position to
better serve its current customers outside of the Eagle organization from our
corporate headquarters as etoolz functions as the R&D team for Eagle
Broadband's growing family of advanced technology companies."
