ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 24 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- Ecutel
Inc., the nation's leading developer of advanced mobile networking software
and services, today announced its expansion into new, larger corporate
offices. The company relocated into 16,500 square feet of space in Alexandria.
The move is the second in less than a year for Ecutel as it extends its
operations to meet future demand for its mobile networking products and
services. Ecutel's flagship product is Viatores Mobile Virtual Private Network
(VPN) that enables secure, seamless Internet communications between "road
warriors" and their corporate resources, regardless of the communications
 device, location or network.
"With an increasingly mobile corporate workforce and the need for
anywhere, anytime global communications, Ecutel is expanding our operation now
so we will be able to promptly and efficiently meet the market demand," said
John Harrison, Ecutel's CEO and president.
Ecutel, which secured more than $6 million in its first institutional
round of financing last September, will continue to develop the Viatores VPN
suite of services in its new high-tech facilities. The new space includes
state-of-the-art testing and quality assurance operations, network integration
and demonstration labs that will allow systems integrators, corporate
customers and others to see and test Ecutel's products in 'live' situations.
The company's first-round funding was led by Washington-based Core Capital
and included five other investment groups -- Intel Capital, Avansis Ventures,
McDonnell & Associates, Steve Walker & Associates and Updata Venture Partners.
Several leading systems integrators are currently testing Ecutel's Viatores
VPN. The company expects to announce new customers over the coming months.

Founded in 1996 and based in Alexandria, VA, Ecutel provides next
generation Internet mobility products and services to Fortune 500 companies
and government agencies. The company's Viatores Mobile VPN is the only
software product to incorporate standards-based mobile Internet communications
and security for intelligent roaming and remote information access and
exchange in real time. For more information about Ecutel, please refer to
