Element Data Closes $3.5M Series Seed Plus Round

Heather Redman, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Flying Fish Partners, an early stage venture firm based in Seattle, participated in the round. Redman serves in many industry leadership positions including as the Chair Elect of the Greater Seattle Metropolitan Chamber and the Vice Chair of the Washington Technology Industry Association and previously served in leadership roles at several technology companies.

"We were excited to have an opportunity to invest in Element Data," said Heather Redman. "One of our key areas of interest is companies doing compelling things with artificial intelligence and machine learning, and we were also impressed with the gender and ethnic diversity of their hiring decisions, which we believe demonstrates leadership and the ability to build a great company."

Element Data is using the new funding to build a world-class team of engineers to further develop software products.

"Our company is growing quickly and we're pacing ahead of our hiring schedule recruiting key talent in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning from prestigious universities across America," Element Data CEO Geoff McDonald said. "We released our first product offering last month with our next major release planned for early 2018," McDonald said.
