Eleven Companies Embrace Pinnacle Systems Streaming Platforms at NAB

StreamFactory and StreamGenie Attract Broad Developer Adoption

 (Nasdaq:   PCLE), today announced that eleven companies will showcase Pinnacle
 Systems' streaming solutions during the upcoming NAB show, April 23-26, 2001
 in Las Vegas:  Anystream (Booth i6467), Encoda Systems (L12220), Harris
 Automation (L5023), InterMedia Solutions (E2333), Microsoft Corporation
 (i5921), Odetics (L11138), SignaSys, Inc. (E2900), sofTV.net (i7226),
 Sony Electronics (N109-N114), Sorenson Media (M8338), and Teranex (L1255).

     Anystream (Booth i6467) and Pinnacle Systems have entered into a
 co-development alliance to integrate Anystream's Agility Enterprise encoding
 platform with StreamFactory. The two companies are jointly showing multi-unit
 control of StreamFactory in Real and Windows formats for improved encoding and
 workflow automation.
     Sony Electronics has integrated StreamFactory into its broadcast asset
 management system, to be shown in the Sony Demo Center (N109-N114). Microsoft
 Corporation (i5921) will demonstrate StreamFactory as part of an overall
 broadband infrastructure promoting end-to-end deployment of the Windows Media
 streaming format.
     A joint development alliance was also struck to integrate Sorenson Media's
 real-time, QuickTime streaming technology into Pinnacle Systems'
 StreamFactory. Sorenson Media (M8338) will also be using StreamFactory as a
 preferred encoding solution in its services operation.
     In addition, the leaders in broadcast automation are adopting
 StreamFactory for use within existing broadcast and emerging broadband
 infrastructures, including Harris Automation (L5023), Encoda Systems (L12220),
 Odetics (L11138) as well as InterMedia Solutions (E2333). IMS will be showing
 automatic failover of mirrored StreamFactory systems for mission-critical
 operations.
     Teranex (L1255) and Pinnacle Systems have also entered into an agreement
 for cooperative development and marketing of high-performance video
 preprocessing solutions for broadband streaming.
     Also on display will be versions of StreamGenie as part of turnkey
 streaming solutions from broadband integrator SignaSys, Inc. (E2900).
 sofTV.net will be showcasing the new StreamGenie Presenter announced last week
 in its booth at the RealNetworks Partner Pavilion (i7226), highlighting the
 integrated PowerPoint and rich media authoring upgrades available for
 StreamGenie customers.
