Elmer Doty Named Vice President and General Manager of United Defense's Ground Systems Division

    YORK, Penn., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- United Defense LP has named
 Elmer Doty Vice President and General Manager of the company's Ground Systems
 Division operations, effective April 1.
     Doty comes to the position after seven years leading the company's Steel
 Products Division in Anniston, Ala.  He succeeds Peter C. Woglom, who will
 assume a similar position at the company's Armament Systems Division until his
 retirement at the end of this year.

     Doty joined the company in 1979, and since then has held a variety of

 of Missouri.
