Emperor appoints Mr Richard Hawes chief exploration geologist

CALGARY, Jan. 15, 2014 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Emperor Oil Ltd. (TSX.V: EM), (OTC: CHVFF), (Frankfurt: 8CV), (Europe: ISIN: CA29159B1031), (WKN: A1J3EL), ("Emperor" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr Richard Hawes, P.Geo. has been appointed exploration advisor / chief exploration geologist.

Richard Hawes, BSc (Hons Geography and Geology) University of London, MSc University of Calgary, and MBA (Finance) University of Calgary, has over thirty years experience in the Canadian and international oil and gas industry. Richard has worked successfully as an exploration and development geologist with a Calgary-based multinational major and with Canadian junior companies in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, ofshore Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, the Canadian Arctic and Mackenzie Valley, in the Former Soviet Union and the US and in East and West Africa. He also has experience in midstream project development as a project analyst and senior geologist with two major Canadian pipeline companies. His recent experience also includes the position of Business Development Executive at Sudapet, the National Oil Company of Sudan
