    CALGARY, Alberta, April 24 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ --
Digital Artisans Guild Inc. (CDNX: DAG) is very pleased to announce the 'world
class' addition of Eric Bischoff to its Board of Directors and as the
Executive Vice President of Development for DAG'S MatRats property, an
exciting new "sports entertainment reality series" aimed at the under 21 year
 old crowd.
Several weeks ago DAG staged a live MatRats showcase with Eric Bischoff
and his long time business associate and friend Jason Hervey of Mandalay
Sports Entertainment present. Mr. Bischoff's comment at the end of the show,
to the wrestlers, was that "this is the most exciting thing I have seen in
 sports entertainment in 10 years."
Eric Bischoff's responsibilities with DAG will include the facilitation of
strategic introductions to the broadcast and financial community,
participation in the current and future investor relations for DAG, expert
knowledge and mentoring in the wrestling business, facilitation of strategic
introductions in the sports entertainment field, continued input of the
business plan and marketing strategies, working together with Mandalay Sports
Entertainment (MSE) in the facilitation of the MatRats domestic and
international distribution alliance, and worldwide business and media
spokesperson for the project. "The response from potential licencees, sources
of distribution, and strategic partners since my appointment with DAG has been
more than encouraging. What has peaked their interest is the chance to now do
something really unique and exciting that caters to an extremely desirable
demographic in music and sports entertainment," says Bischoff.
Mr. Bischoff's appointment will begin effective immediately, and is
initially contracted for the next 2 years, with an option to renew. He will
continue to reside in Phoenix, Arizona, and will commute as required on behalf
 of MatRats.
"To have someone like Eric Bischoff not only stand up and take notice, but
to accept a key role in this property not only validates our belief in the
success of MatRats, but propels us to the next level in a way that we had only
imagined," says Milton Kiehlbauch, President and CEO of DAG. "We are both
humbled and ecstatic to have the opportunity to have Mr. Bischoff on our team,
and together be able to change what may be the very fabric of sports
entertainment," says Graham Owen, VP and COO of DAG.
Eric Bischoff's introduction to professional wrestling began with his
facilitation of the sales and syndication of television programming for the
AWA during the 80's, and later as their announcer. He then joined the WCW in
1991 conducting interviews and providing commentary, and was promoted to the
position of Executive Producer in 1993, the Vice President in 1994, the
Executive Vice President in 1996, and finally the President in 1998.
During his reign in the WCW, Mr. Bischoff produced over 2500 hours of
sports entertainment programming for the TBS and TNT Networks, as well as
providing syndication and international distribution in 30 countries outside
the USA. He also created "Nitro" and "Thunder," two of the most successful
weekly programs in the history of the Turner Networks, as well as acting as
the Executive Producer for the television movies "Assault on Devil's Island"
 and "Shutterspeed."
Other noteworthy achievements during this period include Mr. Bischoff
bringing Hulk Hogan to the WCW in 1994, a move which dramatically helped to
boost ratings. He was also an innovator of other cutting edge ideas that
eventually resulted in the WCW leading the wrestling television ratings war,
beating the competition for 96 consecutive weeks.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, since 1996, DAG has been a lead participant in
the evolution of advanced visual communication and technology for the
international film and television market. With the global expansion of both
broadcast television and the internet, DAG is positioned to be a leader in
high definition television (HDTV) content creation, web-casting and compelling
 interactive programming.
