FREMONT, Calif., Nov. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Exar Corporation (Nasdaq: EXAR) will demonstrate MXP2's any service, any port, single-chip OTN muxponder solution at the Ethernet Expo Americas Conference in New York City, booth #315. MXP2 provides a more efficient means of transporting a variety of traffic, including uncompressed HD video for live event and studio TV applications, and Ethernet and Fibre Channel for data center connectivity. Inclusion of ODU0, ODUflex, and GMP enables transport and switching of these services across next-generation OTN networks while maximizing network interoperability. The demonstration will showcase the MXP2 mapping and multiplexing Gigabit Ethernet, SONET/SDH and Fibre Channel traffic over OTN.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with Exar's OTN experts about the newest updates to OTN, including ODU0, ODUflex and General Mapping Procedure (GMP). Educational whitepapers on the new features are also available for attendees.
For customers unable to attend the Ethernet Expo in New York City, they can join Exar at Light Reading's Ethernet Expo Digital Summit, which is a virtual event taking place on November 29, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST.
