MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. and SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 4 /PRNewswire/ --
Telseon, the leading provider of instantly scalable optical networks and
Exodus Communications(R) (Nasdaq: EXDS), the leader in complex Internet
hosting and managed services, today announced a reseller agreement that allows
Exodus(R) to offer its customers Telseon's metropolitan area network (MAN)
services, which have Web-based provisioning capabilities via an Ethernet
network. The services are available to customers in Exodus' Internet Data
Centers (IDCs) in the Silicon Valley, New Jersey, Chicago and
Washington, D.C., with availability being extended to additional Exodus IDCs
 in the future.
As a result of the agreement, Exodus will offer Telseon's instantly
scalable Gigabit Ethernet service to its customers requiring last-mile
connectivity to customer data centers and carrier hotels. The service will
enable Exodus customers to architect cost effective local access solutions in
metropolitan areas to new business partners via the Web. For example, a
company operating in an Exodus IDC in Santa Clara can establish an Ethernet
connection to its office location, remote data center and to other business
 partners within the Bay Area.
Exodus customers requiring a flexible solution for their access
infrastructure will benefit from the number of markets that Telseon serves and
its unique coverage area within those markets.
"As the leading provider of hosting and managed services we are prepared
to meet our customers' need for bandwidth-on-demand," said Bruce Talley, vice
president of services marketing for Exodus Communications. "Through our
relationship with Telseon, we have the integrated network and service offering
necessary to grow at the speed dictated by our customers."
"Now Exodus customers can leverage the capabilities from the leading
provider of hosted and managed services on an instantly scalable GigE
network," said John Kane, chief executive officer of Telseon. "Telseon
already provides IP services to more than a dozen customers within Exodus'
IDCs, and the demand continues to rise as opportunities develop in key markets
including outsourced storage and content services."

     Terms of the Agreement
Under the agreement, Exodus will resell Telseon's IP Services to customers
within many of its U.S.-based IDCs, and expand its offering to address
selected Exodus services, such as tape backup and restore services and network
attached storage (NAS) services for those companies not currently hosted with
Exodus. Telseon gains the opportunity to provide the data network to link
Exodus IDCs with remote office locations and customer data centers in key
metropolitan markets and service businesses that require connectivity across
 locations.
