POTTSVILLE, Pa., Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- EXTOL International, a leading provider of business integration software and services, successfully built upon a strong close to 2010 with substantial growth in its customer base and overall revenue during the first half of 2011, as noted in figures released today.
As a result of new client additions through its direct and partner sales channels, and substantial expansion orders from existing clients, EXTOL generated a record first-half revenue total, topping last year's midway number by 10 percent. A large portion of that increase came from Professional Services, which saw a nearly 60 percent boost in revenue compared to 2010.
EXTOL attributes the increase to wider industry interest and acceptance of its EXTOL Business Integrator (EBI) 2.5 automated integration tools. Released following successful beta testing at the end of 2010, EBI 2.5 automates cloud, B2B, application and data integration activities, and can reduce integration delivery time by as much as 70 percent.
"As more companies face pressure to save time and reduce costs on business integration and communication, there is greater demand for automated tools that accelerate the process," said Tony Baran, president and CEO of EXTOL. "We are thrilled to see that we have exceeded our expectations for growth to start 2011, and we look forward to maintaining our position as a leading integration solutions provider in the second half."
Highlights from EXTOL's successful six-month start include:
- New Customer Wins: EXTOL exceeded its new customer acquisition total from last year at this time by nearly 67 percent. Notable companies turning to EXTOL for accelerated integration tools include The Boston Beer Company, a leading brewer of hand-crafted, full-flavored beers under the Samuel Adams brand, and InterTrade, a Laval, Quebec-based tier 1 VAN that enables smoother supply chain collaboration.
- Expanded Services for Existing Customers: Having already turned to EXTOL for its EBI software and EDI support, Hoboken, N.J.-based publisher John Wiley & Sons relied on the company's tools to establish EDI communications on a tight timetable with a U.K. partner using the Tradacoms protocol.
- Seamless Implementations: EXTOL assisted USA Truck, Inc., a Van Buren, Ark.-based North American truckload carrier, with converting more than 200 trading partners, consisting of nearly 530 EDI transactions, to its EBI software and achieving their aggressive conversion timeline.
"Our interactions with our existing and new partners thus far this year further shows that more companies today are seeking a single supplier who can fulfill all their needs throughout the integration lifecycle," added Baran. "We've seen more companies switch to EXTOL this year to improve integration with trading partners, applications, cloud services and enterprise data, and we will continue throughout the remainder of 2011 to make sure our software provides the smoothest integration process possible."
