FieldCentrix Enhances FX Interchange to Include Microsoft Access And Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Support

Apr 10, 2001, 01:00 ET from FieldCentrix

IRVINE, Calif., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- FieldCentrix(R), the largest and
most experienced provider of wireless and Internet-based software for the
field service industry, has released a new version of its FX Interchange(TM)
software. This new release extends the software's data interchange
capabilities to include support for Microsoft Access(TM) and Microsoft SQL
 Server 7.0(TM) databases.
"There is a lot of interest from third-party software providers and
value-added resellers (VARs) in integrating their applications with our
wireless mobile and Web-based dispatch products. Now we can say to them: be
it XML, Microsoft SQL Server, or Microsoft Access -- we speak your language,"
said Judy Johnson, senior vice president of marketing.
With its new features, the FX Interchange product can now export data from
the FieldCentrix XML database into Access and SQL Server databases. FX
Interchange can also transport and validate inbound data from a SQL database
 into the FieldCentrix system.
"We expect this extension to FX Interchange to accelerate the integration
of the FieldCentrix product to third-party accounting, payroll, and dispatch
applications. Companies can now expand their product line to include
FieldCentrix's mobile capability for field technicians and Web-based
dispatching without spending development time or dollars," added Johnson.
Our current client base is also benefiting, as many like the simplicity of
creating reports and analyzing data from Microsoft's Access database."
The publishing of outbound data to Access is currently available. Inbound
and outbound transport of data to SQL Server will be available in June 2001.

     FX Interchange
FX Interchange extends the benefits of a FieldCentrix Enterprise system by
converting the data from XML to popular database formats such as Microsoft
Access and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. Once converted, the data is easily
accessible to other back-office systems for billing, payroll, reporting, and
more in-depth analysis. With the addition of FX Interchange software's data
transporting services to a FieldCentrix Enterprise system, companies can
quickly and easily integrate FieldCentrix Enterprise to existing third-party
business systems to gain the most value from the FieldCentrix data.
