First Tennessee Image-Enables Its Business to Support Growth And New Products and Services For Its Clients

    ORLANDO, Fla., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- First Tennessee Bank National
 Association, Memphis Tennessee, and Viewpointe Archive Services, LLC,
 announced today a long-term arrangement whereby Viewpointe will provide image
 archiving services to First Tennessee.  The agreement will allow First
 Tennessee to provide new image-based services to its customers and to
 significantly reduce check processing costs.
     Mr. Taylor Vaughan, Senior Vice President of cash management services for
 First Tennessee, said, "This capability will allow us to increase operating
 efficiencies, but more importantly, it also gives us a competitive advantage
 with new, exciting image-based products and services for our clients."
     Over the term of the agreement, Viewpointe will archive images of all
 checks processed by First Tennessee, including those from its First Express
 check clearing and its First Express Remittance Processing operations.
 Viewpoint will support high speed retrieval of those check images for back
 office operations and so that bank customers can access their own check images
 within 24 hours of deposit or posting over the Internet.  Implementation will
 begin immediately.  It is expected that First Tennessee will achieve full
 operation of the Viewpointe check archive by September 2001.  First
 Tennessee's implementation is based upon the use of image archive software and
 services provided by the Check Solutions Company working as a business partner
 with Viewpointe.
