Former Nortel Networks and GTE Executive Joins Norstar Communications Team

 innovator in the telecommunications arena, today announced that Ray Ashton, a
 former executive from Nortel Networks, GTE and Rockwell International, has
 joined the Company's management team as Chief Operating Officer.
     Mr. Ashton brings over twenty years of accomplishments to Norstar in the
 telecommunications, data communications, Internet and computer industries.
 Most recently, he held the position of Executive Vice President of Business
 Development for Nortel Networks where he consulted senior officers relative to
 all business development activities for the IP Services Division within the
 Carrier and Service Provider industries.  Prior to Nortel, Mr. Ashton was the
 Executive Vice President of the Telecom/Carrier/Internet Division at General
 DataCom, Inc.  There, he led the sales and marketing for the Telecom division
 where he negotiated and managed business partnerships with MCI, MFS, US West
 domestically as well as Ericsson and Deutsche Telekom, internationally.
 Mr. Ashton also held a Managing Director position with GTE where he was
 specifically recruited to establish Data credibility and organizations to
 service GTE's "Top 10 National Accounts".  In addition, Mr. Ashton served as
 Network Engineering Manager at Rockwell International as a telecommunications
 and business development advisor for NASA.  Throughout his distinguished
 career, he has been a frequent lecturer on marketing, Internet,

 undergraduate degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from
 California State University, Northridge and his MBA from the University of
