Fossil to Provide Stylish Watches and Apparel for Boy Band Stars of

ABC TV's 'Making The Band'

Apr 12, 2001, 01:00 ET from Fossil

RICHARDSON, Texas, April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fossil (Nasdaq: FOSL), one of
America's leading watch, clothing and accessories companies, today announced
its sponsorship of boy band sensation, and stars of ABC TV's reality show
"Making the Band," O-Town. Ashley, Dan, Trevor, Jason and Erik, the
singer-dancers who make up the group, are firm Fossil fans. The company has
now supplied a full wardrobe of clothing and accessories to each of them, as
well as secured the group to appear in select FOSSIL stores across the world.
Following successful appearances at Fossil locations in Philadelphia and
Atlanta, where more than a thousand fans waited to see the boy band, Fossil
has confirmed that the group is scheduled to make additional visits to its
stores in 2001. A highlight of these appearances is O-Town's visit to London,
where the group will appear at the FOSSIL Covent Garden store as part of the
band's highly anticipated visit to the UK.
"This sponsorship is the first of several exciting partnerships we have
planned for 2001. We're delighted to be working with one of the hottest young
groups today, especially one like O-Town that has such appeal to our core
customer and loves our product," said Richard Gundy, President, Fossil watches
and stores division. "Their appearances in Atlanta and Philadelphia spiked
sales at those stores, and it's natural that we'd want to continue such a
 successful partnership."
The latest season of O-Town's reality TV show, "Making the Band," starts
on ABC on April 13 at 8pm EST/7pm CST.
