FuelSpot Opens Three New Offices in Key Petroleum Markets

Apr 27, 2001, 01:00 ET from FuelSpot

DENVER, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- FuelSpot, the nation's leading electronic
trade management software and services company for refined petroleum products
and other commodities, is expanding its operations to include Houston, Texas,
 Sacramento, Calif., and Jacksonville, Fla.
"FuelSpot is growing to meet the needs of our customers in key markets
throughout the United States," said Jim Imbler, president and CEO of FuelSpot.
"We understand the complexities of what the refined petroleum industry needs.
These offices -- in addition to our current locations in Dallas, Denver and
Boston -- will enable us to extend our in-depth online trading, management
tools, and related services to more customers," Imbler said.
"Obviously, during a time when large segments of the technology industry
are scaling back and have lost considerable consumer confidence, we are
thrilled to be able to increase our reach and better address the needs of key
 petroleum industry markets," he added.
The increased sales force will continue to support the approximately
450 customers who currently are using FuelSpot products and services and work
to generate new opportunities for the rapidly growing company. Presently,
more than 100 of those customers are trading on the exchange, which recently
added a new service called SupplierNet(TM).
SupplierNet(TM) enables refiners or suppliers to utilize a customized
Internet network for total management of their businesses. FuelSpot announced
last month that it can leverage a supplier's existing technology investments
and provide a proprietary platform -- tailored and branded for each supplier
-- that bundles the technology, software and services to provide total
"convenience-store" management for branded jobbers and dealers.
