Announces financial planning workshops

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark J. Fuller, CRPC, President of Fuller Wealth Management in Broomfield, Colo., has been accepted for membership in the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).

Full membership in NAPFA entitles Fuller to use the designation "NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor." Membership in NAPFA and the NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor designation are available exclusively to fee-only financial advisors who are paid directly by their clients.

NAPFA members receive no commissions or other rewards for selling financial products. Those forms of compensation create potential conflicts of interest that may serve to undermine an advisor's objectivity and fiduciary responsibility. It is for this reason that all NAPFA members must sign the Fiduciary Oath in that they explicitly promise "to place the clients' interest first."

In addition to tough standards on client-friendly compensation, NAPFA has some of the industry's most rigorous education and training requirements. All candidates for membership are required to submit a complete comprehensive financial plan for a full-scale peer review. Furthermore, NAPFA's continuing education requirements exceed those of any other association of financial advisors.

"We welcome Mark to NAPFA," said NAPFA Chair William Baldwin, a financial advisor in Waltham, Mass. "The NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor designation denotes a real accomplishment for any financial advisor. We recently surpassed 2,250 members and are always pleased when we can strengthen our ranks with well-trained, highly-committed financial advisors.

"Our mission for more than 25 years has been to provide comprehensive, client-centered advice to individuals and families. Our services are provided in a fee-only manner, with no sales of any products and full disclosure of any possible conflicts. Leaders of the financial services industry and the media recognize the superior nature of fee-only financial planning," Baldwin continued.

Fuller Wealth Management will host the first in a series of financial planning services workshops on Tuesday, February 9 or Thursday, February 11 at the company's Broomfield, Colo., offices. The workshops are free for those with $200K or more of investable assets. RSVP by Monday, February 7, 2010, by calling 1-800-339-4324.
