Apr 03, 2001, 01:00 ET from FutureLink Corp.

TORONTO, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- FutureLink Canada, a wholly owned
subsidiary of FutureLink Corp., (Nasdaq: FTRL) a leading provider of
integrated solutions, hosted application services and one of the first
application infrastructure companies to provide software as a service,
announced the signing of a three-year $360,000 contract with Homes by Avi, one
of Alberta's largest residential construction companies.
"Home builders encounter many IT problems that other companies take for
granted," said David Fung, president of FutureLink Canada. "With many
different sites under construction, it is imperative for these remote offices
to have contact with their head office. By using an ASP like FutureLink,
businesses have a cost-effective option for the management of their IT budgets
and personnel, and 24/7 access to additional IT support."
Under the contract, FutureLink Canada will provide application hosting for
all Homes by Avi locations in Calgary, Edmonton and Spokane, WA delivering a
standardized information technology infrastructure to manage and reduce the
costs associated with remote IT support.
"We needed to refresh our hardware, while reducing costs on software and
IT," said Darren Soltes, IT manager of Homes by Avi. "Service is key in the
construction industry. By working with FutureLink, we are able to tap into
services and resources while alleviating the worry associated with the costs
of upgrading. We are also able to maintain all reports from our field offices
 on the same network."
