WINDSOR, United Kingdom, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Galileo International,
Inc. (NYSE: GLC), a leading provider of electronic global distribution
services (GDS) for the travel industry, announced today that it has signed a

the distribution of its rail products and services through the Galileo(R)
computer reservation system (CRS) using Galileo's RailMaster(TM) product.

Galileo and DB's subsidiary, Transport Logistik Consulting, jointly
developed the RailMaster product for Germany, with full deployment scheduled
for second quarter. Travel agents throughout Germany will then be able to
access DB's full range of functionalities, from itinerary to pricing, to
booking and printing tickets for journeys throughout Germany and the rest of
Europe. The easy-to-operate, graphical user interface, presents all the
services offered by DB, including sleeper train reservations, motorail,
luggage service and tickets for travel outside Germany.
At the heart of Galileo's RailMaster product is a summary file that
dynamically displays and updates all transactions for a booking, enabling
the agent not only to view all steps, but also to print, cancel or refund
tickets easily from just one display. For convenience, the summary file is
retrievable by name, file key or ticket number for up to two months after
the booking. In addition, the product allows agents to issue tickets on a
time-delayed basis. Agents can use this function to book tickets on an
optional basis, and if necessary, cancel them without a lengthy, complicated
 process.
"This agreement establishes a new relationship with a strong and viable
GDS partner, with a future-oriented product," said Jurgen Buchy, sales manager
of the Passenger Travel Division at Deutsche Bahn AG. "For DB, a marketing
approach through various distribution channels is of great importance. We
are looking forward to the promising possibilities offered by the further
co-operation with Galileo and its RailMaster product."
"The development of RailMaster with German Railways represents a very
significant enrichment of our products and services portfolio," said Galileo's
Gordon Wilson, vice president, Subscriber Sales and Service, for the Europe,
Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. "We have co-operated to create an
absolutely outstanding rail product, which Galileo in Germany can now use to
meet the needs of a considerably extended group of customers."
