Product demonstrations will be available at Stand #1113

May 09, 2012, 09:00 ET from Gaming Partners International Corporation

LAS VEGAS, May 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaming Partners International Corporation (NASDAQ: GPIC), a leading provider of casino currency and table game equipment worldwide, announced today that it will introduce several new products at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia exhibition in Macau, China, on May 23 and 24. Product demonstrations will be available at Stand #1113 at the Venetian Macao Convention Center.

In keeping with the Company's long-standing tradition of providing the world's casinos with high quality table game products and security-focused currency solutions, GPI will release the following new currency security features that can be added to any of the Company's well-known chip brands:

  • UV-4C. An innovative application of ultra-violet security protection, UV-4C uses a standard UV detector to reveal a unique full-color photo or image hidden in the chip decal.
  • SecuriTagg®. A covert taggant that is revealed by a specialized hand-held tool, SecuriTagg® includes a unique code that can also be forensically authenticated by a lab, providing an even higher level of authentication.
  • Holographic MicroDots. Available as both an overt or covert security feature, MicroDots are miniscule hologram particles that can be added to decal printing inks or incorporated into transparent chip materials.
  • MicroBeads. Another covert security feature, MicroBeads are added to chip decals to reveal a series of bright red beads. Using an easy-to-use proprietary device, MicroBead markings are easier to authenticate than micro-text, reducing the amount of time required to determine if a chip is real.

GPI will also highlight several enhancements to its B&G currency and RFID product portfolios, including the following:

  • B&G Premium Chips. B&G Premium Chips combine innovations in chip design, 3D injection mold design engineering and manufacturing with the industry's largest selection of overt and covert security features to give casinos the ability to create completely custom chips. By incorporating a wide range of colors with up to six individual injections, casinos can create an intricate chip mold design that is both visually distinctive and unique as well as more counterfeit resistant.
  • B&G J2 Jetons. By combining the aesthetic and security features of traditional European-style jetons with the easy handling of an American-style chip, B&G J2 jetons are easier to stack and handle than traditional jeton shapes, making them a more appealing solution for high chip volume table games. They also enable the use of a wider range of decal design options as well as a broader range of security features.
  • Chip Inventory System 2.0. Using RFID technology to track the location and status of all enabled chips, CIS 2.0 helps operators increase inventory movement efficiency and security by tracking casino currency from the cage or vault to its authorized location on the gaming floor. An upgrade from earlier versions. 2.0 can also be integrated with casino and table management systems for reporting and transaction data, eliminating the need for manual data entry.
  • RFID Total Money Management. Combining the efficiencies of RFID with a high-speed table bill validator designed by JCM, RFID Total Money Management streamlines table game cash and chip transactions to enable an increase in rounds per hour while providing increased currency security through instant authentication and validation.

"This year's G2E Asia new product line-up reflects the increased focus we are placing on developing product solutions that address the needs of the rapidly growing Asia market," commented Gregory Gronau, GPI's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We are particularly excited about the table game cash and chip management solution we are co-developing with JCM, as it will enable an increase in rounds per hour by streamlining table game money handling procedures. We are anxious to debut this innovative product to our Asia customers and receive their valuable feedback."

Scott McCarthy, GPI's Vice President of Asia Sales, also commented that: "The new currency and security products we are debuting at this year's G2E Asia event speak strongly about our commitment to our customers in this key market. Innovative products like our B&G Premium Chips, our J2 hybrid jeton and our new security features demonstrate our focus on developing products that meet the ever-changing needs of our partners in this region."
