SAN FRANCISCO, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Selling out of doughnuts long
before the end of the last three San Francisco Giants home games, Krispy Kreme
is boosting its supply of fresh Original Glazed Doughnuts into Pacific Bell
Park to keep pace with phenomenal demand.
Krispy Kreme ran out of 8,400 doughnuts (700 dozen) by the third inning of
the Giants' April 3 home opener. They increased the supplies for the next
Giants games on April 5 and 6, but they still sold out after the fourth and
sixth innings respectively. Today, Krispy Kreme's Northern California Area
Developer Brad Bruckman announced that stadium vendors will receive
13,800 doughnuts for the Giants' next home game Tuesday, April 17. That
amounts to 1,150 dozen or 3,450 four-packs, as they are sold at the park.
"We are delighted that the Giants wanted to make us a part of the PacBell
experience," said Bruckman, who opened Northern California's first
Krispy Kreme Doughnut store in Union City last year and promptly broke
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts' national record for first-week sales. "What we've
 seen here is simply amazing."
Krispy Kreme of Northern California has stores in Union City,
Mountain View, Sacramento and Citrus Heights, with a fifth store opening in
Modesto next month. But when it comes to finding Krispy Kremes in The City,
Pacific Bell Park on game day is the place to be -- at least while they last.
Inside Pacific Bell Park, the doughnuts are sold for $5 for the four-pack
and are available through carts located throughout the stadium and in the
restaurant food court on the Promenade level.
Founded in Winston-Salem, N.C., in 1937, Krispy Kreme quickly became a
Southern tradition and today is expanding throughout the country.
Krispy Kreme currently operates more than 170 stores in 28 states.
Regionally, new stores are planned for Modesto, Fresno and San Jose.
Krispy Kreme can be found on the World Wide Web at www.krispykreme.com.
