NEW YORK, April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Mary Jo Romeo, Publisher of G+J USA's
Parents magazine, announced today the acquisition of Dads magazine's
subscriber list and domain name from Dads Media, Inc.
In making the announcement, Romeo stated, "We are thrilled to have reached
an agreement with Dads magazine. At Parents, we have aggressively increased
our coverage of fatherhood in response to our readership. This acquisition
gives us the platform to develop a special in-book section dedicated to
"dads." Including these new subscribers will add to our already
well-established credibility with advertisers. There is room for fatherhood
editorial in the whole-life approach of America's #1 Family Magazine --
 Parents."
Effective with the May 2001 issue of Parents, current Dads subscribers
will receive Parents magazine. In addition, advertisers will get
"30,000 bonus circulation" in October, November and December over and above
 Parents' 2.125 million rate base.
"Our coverage of issues by fathers and for fathers in Parents is in
response to reader interest and to the growing role dads play in the nurturing
and raising of their children. We have made an increased commitment to
covering issues of contemporary fatherhood in the magazine," comments Sally
 Lee, Editor-in-Chief of Parents.
