BROOMFIELD, Colo., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Infobank, an international
leader of business-to-business e-commerce software and services, today
announced its new name Izodia, an identity that better enables the company's
expansion worldwide, a market predicted to boom to $8.5 trillion by 2005.
The name change addresses the need for Izodia to expand its international
offices and distributor operations under a common name. The Izodia brand can
be used in all of the company's current and planned global markets without the
legal and regulatory restrictions associated with the word bank in the name.
It also supports the growing customer demand for Izodia's flagship B2B
 e-Commerce product, InTrade 5.
"We are introducing a new name for our company that accentuates our
commitment to delivering a new industry standard in the way e-commerce trading
relationships are executed and managed," said Anthony Stepanski, the company's
newly-appointed chief executive officer. "The introduction of our company as
Izodia will help us continue to reach new global markets with our
unprecedented approach to B2B e-commerce solutions."
Izodia debuted in several new markets in the past year, including signing
an exclusive agreement with the company's first Italian partner, Etnoteam, a
key reseller into the Italian market for Izodia's InTrade 5 global B2B
e-commerce software. In other deals, Izodia signed its first customer in
Finland, BuildForum, the first construction industry trading community in that
 country.
Also recently, Izodia unveiled its strategy in the U.S. market to offer
flagship technologies specifically built for the needs of middle-market
 companies, a fast-growing segment of the B2B e-commerce industry.
In addition to its North American headquarters in Broomfield, Colo.,
Izodia has deployed on-the-ground sales teams in key U.S. markets, including
New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Boston.
"Our new identity reflects Izodia's path as a leader in B2B e-commerce
software solutions throughout the world and in the United States," said Brian
Savage, president and chief operating officer of Izodia's North American
operations in Broomfield, Colo. "In the U.S. market, we look forward to
making the Izodia name synonymous with the most functionally-rich B2B
 e-commerce platform available."
As a result of its global expansion, Izodia now has a presence in the
United Kingdom, North America, Scandinavia, South Africa and Australia and
plans to secure additional markets across the rest of Europe in 2001.
With this expansive global footprint, Izodia is uniquely positioned to
capitalize on the burgeoning worldwide B2B e-commerce market. According to
research firm Gartner, worldwide B2B e-commerce will boom to $8.5 trillion in
2005, despite a recent economic downturn in some key markets. Gartner
estimates that sales through B2B e-commerce ventures totaled more than
$450 billion, up 189 percent from 1999, and are expected to more than double
 to $919 billion in 2001.
In January 2001, Izodia also announced the general availability of its
InTrade 5 product suite, a multiplatform solution that sets a new industry
standard in electronic trade by extracting the business logic of the commerce
trading application from an organization's own IT infrastructure. With
powerful support for closely managed private marketplaces and extensive public
exchanges, InTrade 5 allows companies of all sizes to evolve their existing
business as their e-commerce strategy evolves.
