New Site Part of Corporate Campaign to Set Global Apart From Perceived

Industry Competitors

    TAMPA, Fla., April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ --
Global Imaging Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: GISX), a leading provider of office
imaging solutions based here, today announced that it has launched its
redesigned corporate Web site, www.global-imaging.com. "Global has grown
significantly since its founding in 1994, both in size and in sophistication,"
said President and CEO Tom Johnson, "to become the most profitable operator
among publicly owned companies in the office imaging solutions business."
He said that management feels it is important that the image and
information the company conveys over the Internet more accurately reflect the
company Global has become. Johnson also said that the new site is an integral
part of a concerted effort to set Global apart from its larger colleagues and
their well-publicized problems. "The way we operate, and the results we
achieve, could not be more different and we want to emphasize these
 differences."
He said that the new corporate site, designed by WebTank, Inc., also based
in Tampa, not only provides an updated image of Global, but also features a
sophisticated content management system that is as simple to use as a word
processor. "We have seen other companies spend enormous amounts of money on
maintenance and infrastructure. Our goal is to keep our Web initiatives as
cost effective as possible," said Mr. Johnson.
He said that the new corporate site is actually part of a corporate-wide
system of 26 individual Web sites operated by the companies that Global has
acquired over the past seven years. "We are an entrepreneurial organization,"
said Mr. Johnson, "and it is important that each of our companies maintain its
own distinct local identity in its hometown market."
With almost all of the existing sites complete and online, Mr. Johnson
said he feels the challenge has been successfully met, adding that all Global
companies are integrated into the same content management system for maximum
 efficiency.
Global Imaging Systems offers a one-stop shop for office imaging
solutions. The company provides a broad line of office imaging solutions
including the sale and service of automated office equipment, network
integration services, electronic presentation systems, and document imaging
management systems. The company is a disciplined consolidator in the highly
 fragmented office imaging solutions industry.
This news release may contain forward-looking statements or statements
based on forward-looking information. These statements are based on numerous
assumptions and are subject to uncertainties and risks. Actual results could
differ materially. Factors that might cause Global's results to differ
materially include risks, which are discussed in detail under the caption
"Risk Factors" in Global's annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended
 March 31, 2000.
