 (NYSE:   DBD) announces the grand opening of a new direct service operation in
 Indonesia.  The new entity, PT Diebold Indonesia, will offer financial
 institutions self-service support through its nine facilities nationwide.
 Customers will be supported by Diebold's highly trained service professionals,
 using cutting edge service and support technology.

 managing director, Asia-Pacific for Diebold, Incorporated.  "In the past few
 years we have built a strong sales infrastructure in Indonesia through our
 association with PT Nusa Cipta Rancana and PT Mitra Integrasi Komputindo --
 two excellent distributors.
