H-Quotient, Inc., Announces Record Year-End Earnings And Marketing Strategy for 2001

Apr 17, 2001, 01:00 ET from H-Quotient, Inc.

    VIENNA, Va., April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- H-Quotient, Inc.,
(OTC Bulletin Board: HQNT) announced preliminary results of its record year-
end earnings of $.09 per share ($.12 per share prior to two one-for-seven
stock distributions) on net income of $1,580,674. A markdown for unrealized
losses on marketable securities of $757,031 reduced net income from $2,337,705
or $.14 per share ($.19 per share prior to two one-for-seven stock
 distributions).
The company's marketing strategy for 2001 centers around continued efforts
and installations of I-Link Enterprise in state hospital associations and
insurance companies, followed by installations of DataQual in individual
hospitals. DataQuotient is being pursued through the testing process for
rollout into the extended care market.
The company has now completed 37 I-Link Enterprise installations in the
Ohio Hospital Association member hospitals, and the director of that
 association, Dr. David Engler, said:

"The concept around H-Quotient's data collection software systems is
groundbreaking, and we at the Ohio Hospital Association are excited about the
prospect of accessing and using data through H-Quotient's I-Link Enterprise
and virtual private network. H-Quotient's solutions facilitate HIPAA
compliance, and they are innovative enough to bridge the technology gaps that
occur in some hospitals. This customization is what will create connectivity
between our member hospitals and the VPN. I highly recommend discussing the
 possibilities with H-Quotient."
H-Quotient CEO and President Douglas Cohn said, "We are pleased to report
positive annual earnings for the first time in the company's history. But of
even more significance are the comments from Dr. Engler, which are being
included in our marketing efforts with all 50 state hospital associations."
This announcement may contain, in addition to historical information,
certain forward-looking statements that involve risks and uncertainties. Such
statements reflect management's current views and are based on certain
assumptions. Actual results could differ materially from the assumptions
 currently anticipated.
