CLEVELAND, March 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The American Federation of Government Employees along with hundreds of public sector employees, union activists and supporters will rally in Cleveland's Willard Park at the FREE Stamp in solidarity with the AFL-CIO's We Are One initiative. This event follows a weekend of service, worship, community and workplace actions throughout Ohio and across the country. Public employees will address the service they provide to the American public and denounce attacks against public sector workers.
"Working people across this country are standing up against the attacks on America's middle class," said AFGE National Secretary-Treasurer J. David Cox. "As we rally here in Ohio, we remember the legacy of Dr. King and the ultimate sacrifice he gave for others to have a better life. AFGE and the AFL-CIO will continue to lead the charge in protecting the rights and freedoms of working families."
