Iball Media Forges First Look Agreement with Avalon

Apr 02, 2001, 01:00 ET from iball Media

SAN DIEGO, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- iball Media is pleased to announce that
it has signed a "first look" agreement with Avalon Entertainment Concepts,
Ltd. This arrangement grants iball the first right of refusal to jointly
develop projects, which Avalon produces. Financial terms of the agreement
 were not disclosed.
iball's Chairman and CEO Mr. Kelly Hickel said, "Avalon's emphasis on
Latin and urban music further expands iball's reach into popular genres.
Avalon has established a reputation in the entertainment industry for
conceiving and producing high-quality, cutting-edge projects and events.
Avalon has granted iball the right of first look to be their partner and part
owner of all concerts and entertainment-related events they develop or
produce. Additionally, iball has been given the right of second look, behind
HBO, on certain television projects. I believe this agreement will produce
significant new revenue streams and unique proprietary products for our
 distribution channels."
Avalon CEO, Mr. Domenic Casillo, said, "Avalon produces an attractive
array of entertainment and sells this content to companies such as HBO. Under
this agreement, iball will serve as executive producer funding the production
of our projects and allowing our organizations to jointly retain ownership.
Often the first sale of these properties recoups the entire cost of production
in addition to added revenue from ancillary markets. This arrangement allows
us to derive future revenue streams from a library of products that we will
create and own, building our mutual asset base. Avalon Co-Producer Ileana
Romero, stated, "production of new events is only limited by available capital
 and our imaginations."
Avalon produced the highly rated documentary series, G String Divas, Naked
Stages and The Latin Kings. Currently Avalon is developing the HBO
documentary We Fight Gangs. Avalon is also producing the Online Hip Hop
Awards Show and the Chippendales PPV (Pay-Per-View) concert. Both events will
be simulcast on the Internet via Avalon High Speed Entertainment Company.
Avalon was privileged to produce, film and record Tito Puente's last concert
Viva La Musica -- his 75th birthday celebration. The live CD contains the
work of many Latin stars and is distributed through Universal Music Group
Latino. Avalon is producing the new Soul for Real album and Jose El Canario
Alberto's new album slated for release in the fall.

iball Media ( http://www.iball.com ) is a unique new model for the music
and entertainment industry. iball merges mainstream economy businesses with a
new-economy online model, providing music, music event, film and TV
enthusiasts with an enhanced and complete entertainment experience. iball is
breaking new ground with the globalization of premier music festivals
featuring new and established recording artists, through traditional means and
via the convergence of both traditional and digital media. iball has formed
alliances with leaders in the entertainment and technology industries to
ensure the distribution of music and events through traditional means as well
as secure digital channels. On February 12, 2001, iball Media announced that
it signed a Memorandum of Understanding setting forth its intent to merge with
Paradise Music & Entertainment, Inc. (PDSE), subject to a number of
conditions. Paradise is an entertainment company focused on supplying
state-of-the-art music, music event, film, video, and video-related products,
services and content to traditional and digital entertainment businesses.
