SAINT JOHN, NB AND PETAH TIKVA, ISRAEL, April 10 /PRNewswire/ - iMagicTV
(Nasdaq: IMTV and TSE:IMT), a provider of software products that allow
telephone companies and other service providers to deliver multi-channel
television and interactive media services, today announced an agreement with
Inovia Telecoms, a world leader in DSL technology solutions and member of the
ECI Telecom Group, (ECI Telecom Nasdaq: ECIL).
The companies will integrate iMagicTV's DTV Manager with Inovia's Hi-
FOCuS(TM) DSL platform, so that telephone companies and other service
providers can deliver complete end-to-end multi-channel digital TV and
interactive media services, including media-on-demand, along with traditional
telecommunications services. The joint solution is easy to manage and scalable
for customers' current and future needs.
"We are committed to constantly enhancing our xDSL Multi Service Access
Gateway solutions to meet the surging demands of broadband services and the
evolving needs of our DSL customers to better compete with CATV solutions,"
says Pinny Chaviv, President and CEO of Inovia Telecoms. "iMagicTV's DTV
Manager infrastructure software adds multi-channel digital television and
interactive media services, including media-on-demand solutions to the service
bundle, strengthening the business case for VDSL. With the addition of
interactive TV capabilities, we now offer a full range of broadband
applications that cater to these demands."
"Our relationship with Inovia enables us to further drive the adoption of
multi-channel broadband television and interactive media services over VDSL
technology," said Marcel LeBrun, President and CEO of iMagicTV. "We are
pleased to be working with Inovia's Hi-FOCuS platform. By working with this
platform, iMagicTV continues to enable service providers to deliver content to
multiple televisions in a single household over a single copper wire. Since
DTV Manager and Hi-FOCuS are open and standards-based, the combined solution
 can support multi-vendor environments."
iMagicTV is working with companies such as Inovia to deliver its open
platform for television over VDSL, in addition to ADSL, Ethernet, wireless,
fiber to the home or any other IP-based access technology.
iMagicTV is continuing its commitment to working towards interoperability
with best of breed solutions and with technologies that make the most sense
for telephone companies and other service providers and their residential
 customers.
ECI Telecom, Inovia (booth No. 711) will be demonstrating some of the
