Informations Technology Veteran Comes on Board as Norstar Senior Vice President of Operations & Technology

    IRVINE, Calif., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Norstar Communications Inc., an
 innovator in the telecommunications arena, today announced that Robert
 Friedman has joined the Company's management team as Senior Vice President of
 Operations & Technology.
     Mr. Friedman has an extensive background of over twenty years of high
 level IT management experience including technology integration planning and
 budgeting, database management, data conversion as well as database planning.
 Most recently, Mr. Friedman served as Vice President of Operations/IT for
 Present Single Billing Services, Inc. a subsidiary of New Global Telecom, Inc.
 While there, he managed all IT functions and staff for the Telecom Resale
 Division as well as redefined the billing processes, implementing a new system
 which resulted in a $100k per month savings in billing processing fees for the
 company.  From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Friedman was the Director of Information
 Systems/Operations for Moss Software, Inc.  He was responsible for designing,
 implementing and maintaining a new high-speed information network.  In
 addition, he managed the IT staff and mentored development and sales staff in
 the areas of database management, connectivity protocol and systems
 integration.  In 1991 Mr. Friedman joined Pathway Computer Solutions, Inc. as
 the company's President where he garnered contracts for this consulting firm
 with Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, Econo Lube N Tune, and Home Savings.
 Mr. Friedman began his career in 1980 and held several positions within the IT
 field including becoming the Founding Partner and CFO of Micronet Business
 Systems, Inc. in 1985.  He was responsible for becoming one of the largest
 dealers in the San Francisco Bay area for Novell, ITT and Solomon Accounting
 Systems.  Mr. Friedman has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
 from the University of California at Berkely as well as an MBA from JFK
 University.
