InforMax Names Patrick Blake Vice President and Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations

    BETHESDA, Md., April 20 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- InforMax,
 Inc. (Nasdaq: INMX), a leading global provider of bioinformatics software
 solutions, today announced that Patrick Blake has been named vice president
 and managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations.
 Mr. Blake will be responsible for managing all operations, including sales,
 marketing and customer support.

     Mr. Blake was most recently president and founder of Montauk Solutions
 International, Ltd., a global management consulting practice specializing in
 international recruiting, retention and organizational development for the
 international operations of software and consulting companies, including
 InforMax, Unilever, Ernst and Young, and Farmland Industries.  He previously
 was General Manager for JBA International, where he was responsible for the
 start-up of a U.S. business unit for a $100 million business applications
 software company in the U.K.  Mr. Blake's background also includes senior
 marketing, sales, and recruiting positions with Pansophic Systems, Inc., MSA
 (Management Science America) and EDS (Electronic Data Systems).
