InfoSpace (Nasdaq: INSP), a leading global provider of cross-platform commerce

Through these enhancements to the InfoSpace platform and suite of
services, the company is enabling its carrier partners to offer additional
functionality to their subscribers that leverage the faster connections and
more advanced features available with next generation networks. For example,
faster connection speeds offered by 2.5 and 3G networks will enable the
delivery of more robust and graphic-intensive sources of information as well
as more intuitive user interfaces that make it easier than ever for
subscribers to shop online, receive promotions and discounts, find local
merchants, play games, communicate with others, receive up to the minute
information and access driving directions, all from the convenience of their
 mobile device.
In addition, the always-on feature of advanced networks that maintains a
constant connection to the Internet will enable InfoSpace's instant messaging
application to let a user know whether or not their buddy-list members have
their cell phones turned on and are available to receive messages, provide
subscribers with instant notification and access to new email as well as offer
access to real-time information at a glance. Furthermore, by integrating
these services with InfoSpace's wireless gaming platform, carriers can offer
their subscribers the ability to interact with their opponents in real time,
invite friends to join them in a game and to receive alerts when new high
scores are set or when a friend has signed on to play.
"During the past 12 months, as carriers worldwide have been gearing up to
roll out advanced third generation wireless networks, InfoSpace has been
working to develop the applications and services our partners need to quickly
monetize their large investments in these new infrastructure technologies,"
said Naveen Jain, chief executive officer of InfoSpace. "We are confident
that our end-to-end solution of a world class wireless services platform and
suite of cutting edge applications, and relationships with many of the top
wireless carriers around the world moves InfoSpace closer to its goal of
becoming the default platform upon which wireless carriers deliver services
over any network, device or protocol."
