    ISLANDIA, N.Y., and ORLANDO, Fla., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- interBiz(TM)
Banking Group, a unit of the eBusiness applications division of Computer
Associates International (NYSE: CA), today debuted an automated Transaction
Processing capability made possible by BizWorks(TM), the eBusiness process
management solution. BizWorks, applied within a banking environment, monitors
the processes associated with bank operations and issues visual alerts to
management if any aspect of their operation fails.
This important new Transaction Processing capability demonstrates how bank
executives can take advantage of BizWorks to integrate and filter data from
multiple sources into customized central Command and Control stations. From a
set of predefined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), managers can obtain
tailored notifications on various events, ranging from sorter operations,
reject rates, projected sorter failures, missed deadlines and proof
operations. Alerts are sent instantly to the banking client's choice of wired
or wireless device, including email, fax, cell phone, and Palm OS compatible
 PDA.
In addition, a customized portal capability allows banking clients to be
notified of pre-defined item processing events. These notifications can take
the form of wired or wireless communications.
"By alerting management the second when critical events occur, we will
give companies the competitive edge in the banking industry," said Mike
Connolly, general manager of the interBiz Banking Group. "We empower our
clients to address issues to prevent any disruption of their business.
Managing transaction processes is critical for all types of companies that
need to react to time-sensitive events to ensure and enhance their
 productivity."
Infopoint(R) applications address the core processing needs of large
banking organizations. The software consists of five major product groups,
covering relationship management, deposits, lending applications, strategic
management applications and transaction management applications. The
transaction management solutions integrate the processing of transactions from
various sources into a common methodology. Infopoint's transaction management
modules cover Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) applications, SuperMICR POD,
Multisort, and Cashtran, a currency transaction reporting application.
BizWorks provides a single integrated solution to the most challenging
issues facing companies as they transform their businesses from "Brick &
Mortar" enterprises to tomorrow's "Brick & Click" hybrid organizations.
BizWorks consolidates all the information assets of an organization by
providing a single, centralized view of the extended enterprise in real-time.
BizWorks leverages CA's leading technologies, including Jasmine ii, Unicenter
TNG and Neugents, to help customers consolidate information from all segments
of their businesses, collaborate with partners and suppliers and leverage Web-
based information resources to create a global view of all of the factors
 affecting their success.
The monitoring capability of BizWorks can be added to any back-office
banking applications but are delivered with wrappers that "snap connect"
BizWorks to interBiz's own Infopoint(R) series of banking solutions.
interBiz will present the capabilities of the Transaction Processing
solution at the BAI Transaction Processing show in Orlando, Florida from April
 2-4, 2001, at Booth # 543.
