CHICAGO, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- InterCall, the world's largest conferencing and collaboration services provider, today announced that nearly 300 people attended Conferencing Continuum 2009, a unique virtual partner event and tradeshow experience

Focused on global communication, collaboration and integration in the workplace, Conferencing Continuum 2009 was a comprehensive tradeshow experience without the travel. Presented by InterCall and industry partners Microsoft, WebEx, Polycom, Tandberg, Brainshark, ON24, Gold System and IBM, the virtual event took place on Sept. 23, 2009.

Nearly 300 people in total attended the Conference. 135 people attended the 3 webcasts and 393 documents were viewed.

"It's exciting to host an event where customers, partners and industry experts can discuss the changing trends in collaboration and can experience - in real time - the full integrated suite of communications tools within the workplace," said Kathleen Finato, senior vice president of marketing and business development for InterCall. "Together with our partners, we're bringing the future of communications to the virtual stage and demonstrating the ways in which companies can continue to communicate effectively while saving money, enhancing employee productivity and reducing travel."

Similar to a destination event, Conferencing Continuum 2009 allowed customers and industry attendees to participate in rich general sessions with engaging speakers, view recorded demos and visit the virtual exhibit hall for partner and product details. In addition, conference visitors received free samples, downloaded PDFs and whitepapers, engaged in online chat with experts and signed up instantly for prizes at each booth. Attendees networked with other decision makers in the InterCall Lounge. Keynote speaking sessions included:

  • The Future of Virtual Shows: The Real Deal or Hype. Presenter: Mark Szelenyi, director of product marketing at ON24
  • Communicating for a New business World - Smarter, Faster, Even Flawlessly. Presenters: Brian Trampler, senior product manager, strategic video solutions at InterCall; Martha DeGraw, senior director of global product at InterCall
  • Cost-Effective Strategies for Integrated Communications. Presenter: Joan Babinski, vice president of marketing at Brainshark
