CHICAGO, Aug. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) announced today that the National Restaurant Association (NRA) will join the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) as co-hosts for the 53rd Annual Presidents Conference. The by-invitation-only forum is where leaders from the operator, manufacturer, distributor and allied partner communities meet to address the critical issues and opportunities facing the industry.
"The NRA's participation in Presidents Conference aligns directly with IFMA's Vision and Strategic Plan, which calls for winning the consumer," said Larry Oberkfell, IFMA President and CEO. "The success of IFMA Members is directly linked with the success of the operator."
"The future success of foodservice will be dependent on what we do together, rather than what we do individually," said Dawn Sweeney, NRA President and CEO. "Strengthening engagement and understanding all along the supply chain is critical. The NRA believes that taking an active role in Presidents Conference enables us to rally around our common goal to win consumer choice."
"With the inclusion of the NRA, we have an opportunity to engage in further dialog and collaboration to address timely industry challenges and opportunities," said Mark Allen, IFDA President and CEO. "This will lead to a more effective and efficient foodservice channel that ultimately benefits consumers, and all who serve them."
