Ives Health Company Makes Statement

Apr 12, 2001, 01:00 ET from Ives Health Company

CLAREMORE, Okla., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Ives Health Company (IVEH)
announced that a criminal complaint was filed against M. Keith Ives and the
Company concerning alleged FDA compliance issues concerning T-Factor and
alleged misrepresentations contained in Company press releases, website and
other advertising. The Company and Mr. Ives deny these allegations. The
Company is cooperating fully with the U.S. attorney's office, the SEC and the
FDA. The Company does not presently know what the outcome of the charges will
 be.
The corporate headquarters and warehouse of the Company were searched
simultaneously with the serving of the complaint. Ives and its employees
cooperated fully with the search. All documentation and inventories of
T-Factor and two other T-Factor related products were removed. T-Factor is an
Ives product previously marketed to people with auto-immune deficiencies such
 as HIV/AIDS.
The Company believes that all of its products are natural nutritional
supplements that do not require FDA approval. However, to be as cooperative
as possible, the Company has suspended the manufacture, advertising and sale
of T-Factor and two other related products until all FDA and SEC issues are
resolved and until new independent validation testing shows positive results.
Ives considers all of its products to be safe because they contain all
natural ingredients and are manufactured under strict quality control
procedures. Ives continues to market all its products except those related to
 T-Factor.
This news release includes "forward-looking statements" that include risk
and uncertainties. The forward-looking statements in this release are made
pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation
Reform Act of 1995. Actual results may differ materially due to a variety of

in the Company's reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
