DENVER, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Jabber.com, Inc., provider of scalable Jabber(TM) Instant Messaging solutions and a subsidiary of Webb Interactive Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEBB), today announced the release of two new commercial products, the Jabber Commercial Server v2.0 ("JCS 2.0") and the Jabber Instant Messenger client v1.5 ("JIM 1.5"). JCS 2.0 was designed to provide corporations with a highly scalable and reliable Jabber server, capable of accommodating over 200,000 concurrent users on both Linux and Solaris operating systems. JCS 2.0 is compliant with the open Jabber protocol specification and can communicate seamlessly with a growing network of over 30,000 Jabber open source servers and more than 30 different Jabber instant messenger clients. JCS 2.0 marks the first major release of Jabber.com's commercial product offerings. The server provides companies with several performance and reliability enhancements, including support for multiple CPUs, server farming, connection pooling and an enhanced interface for scalable components. JCS 2.0 is now shipping and commercial licenses are available upon request. Pricing is based upon the number of concurrent users required. Jabber.com also announced a new version of its commercial instant messaging client for Microsoft Windows, Jabber Instant Messenger v1.5, available March 19. The new client provides businesses with a brandable, easy-to-use instant messenger that can be freely distributed to employees and customers. JIM 1.5 has been completely redesigned and now supports a new user interface, file transfers, text conferencing, text editing, improved roster management and an enhanced setup for Jabber's interoperability with other instant messenger services. The new client can be downloaded and distributed freely from www.jabber.com. Jabber.com, under a new program designed to offer OEMs and independent software vendors maximum flexibility when deploying Jabber based solutions, now plans to offer access to its commercial source code under a separate license and OEM agreement. Recent interest in Jabber.com's commercial products has resulted in Test and Evaluation agreements with five different Fortune 100 companies, each looking to evaluate Jabber.com's commercial server as the foundation for their instant messaging offerings. Said Andre Durand, founder of Jabber.com, Inc., "We're very pleased with the demand and adoption we're seeing from major corporations for our commercial products.
